As a speaker, life coach, author, and CEO, Karrie Garcia encourages transformation by openly sharing the story of her own journey toward freedom. She is willing to go into the deepest places of pain and invites others who are hurting to come with her, so they can discover the kind of freedom that leads to a flourishing life.
Karrie has been speaking publicly since the age of 19, addressing audiences that range from small church groups to gatherings of thousands. Her charisma, humor, and ability to communicate God’s word in a way that resonates with everyone—from skeptics to Bible scholars—draw people in. Yet it is her honest, unfiltered, and fearless way of speaking about difficult, and sometimes uncomfortable, subjects that leaves listeners feeling seen, loved, and accepted.
Karrie is the first to say she is not perfect. The daughter of a pastor, she grew up in a family that lived in fear of exposing its struggles to the outside world. In her teenage and young adult years, she turned to unhealthy and often harmful ways of coping. Her path included drug addiction, her mother’s suicide, and the collapse of her first marriage, yet she found victory through the grace, mercy, and healing of Jesus Christ. This truth continues to shape her life, and today Karrie is committed to helping others redefine freedom through Freedom Movement.
Karrie is a licensed life coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and has spent nearly 25 years supporting others through coaching and counseling, both professionally and informally. She is also the author of The Exchange, a nine-week journey designed to lead individuals and groups from hurt to hope through readings, videos, and reflections in an interactive workbook format. She is currently pursuing her Training Certificate Level I at The Allender Center, a program focused on trauma-informed narrative therapy taught by leading Christian psychologist Dr. Dan Allender. In addition, Karrie has been a certified health and wellness coach for more than a decade, drawing on her psychology training to help others connect mind and body for a holistic approach to overall wellness.
