Resident Shaman at the Amazon Retreat Center, Julio Añez was born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and spent his life drawn to science and technology, guided by a deep desire to understand the mysteries of reality and the self. During the COVID-19 quarantine, his path shifted dramatically as he began exploring expanded states of consciousness. Through daily meditation and yoga, he experienced the all-pervading Divine Presence for the first time, opening the door to teachers, lineages, and practices that would shape his journey.
He later entered serious apprenticeship in Amazonian and Andean Shamanism with the SachaRuna community, including demanding fasts, diets, and retreats. Today, he serves as a full-fledged Shaman, with years of experience and meaningful results. His natural compassion, devotion, and strong capacities allow him to support, nourish, and guide profound life transformation. Julio is committed to a new way of life rooted in presence, compassion, and service, supporting sincere seekers on the path toward Enlightenment.
