
Jonathan Chang, also known as JC and using he/him/his pronouns, was first introduced to vipassana and Buddhist mindfulness in 2016. Since then, his practice has deepened steadily, becoming an increasingly important part of his life over the years. After attending the first public retreat held at BBRC following its opening, he felt an immediate connection to the center. A number of retreats and years later, he reached out with the intention of joining the onsite team.
Originally from Los Angeles, JC grew up with a strong appreciation for art, bugs, dinosaurs, movement, play, and anime. Alongside his mindfulness practice, he works as a home health physical therapist assistant. He currently divides his time between LA, where he stays with his family, and San Diego, where he shares a home with a loving partner.
