John Quirk

Founder of SoCal Wellness, John created SoCal Wellness Retreats in 2017 with a clear purpose: to make transformative experiences more accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable. His approach blends yoga, breathwork, and science, with a strong emphasis on personal growth, community, and a sense of fun throughout the journey. With training from leading figures in holistic health such as Wim Hof, Dr. Joe Dispenza, and Dr. Jean Houston, John brings a grounded yet expansive perspective to his teaching.

His work has also been shaped by research projects with UCSD, highlighting the powerful benefits of meditation and mindfulness. After leaving corporate life in 2014, John followed his dream of becoming a world traveler and a leader in holistic health. He also hosts the podcast “the not so woo woo guru” and has shared his expertise with major organizations including Deloitte, Rakuten, and Neurocrine.

Outside of his wellness work, John is an active athlete who plays hockey and pickleball each week, and he enjoys spending time at the dog beach with his dogs, Lola and Lani.
