John Henderson (Dharmakaya Center for Wellbeing: Meditation Retreats in the New York Catskills)

John Henderson (Dharmakaya Center for Wellbeing: Meditation Retreats in the New York Catskills)

Description

With nearly three decades of dedicated meditation practice and study in Buddhist philosophy, John Henderson brings both depth and real-world perspective to his teaching. Since 2003, he has been a senior student of the Dharmakaya Center’s founder, Rimay master Trungram Gyalwa Rinpoche, and has continued to weave these teachings into a life of leadership and service.

In addition to his spiritual path, John has built a distinguished professional career as a serial entrepreneur, guiding healthcare and real estate businesses, and serving on the boards of numerous not-for-profit organizations across the Northeast. This combination of contemplative practice and practical experience gives his guidance a grounded, accessible quality that resonates with a wide range of participants.

He has taught at the Center since its opening in 2017, leading dozens of in-person and online programs. He also offers individual meditation support to retreatants and volunteers, helping create a welcoming environment for reflection, learning, and personal growth.
