I know what it feels like to be disconnected from yourself, to question your worth, and to believe that life is simply something to endure. For a long time, I chased external markers of success — a corporate career, a beautiful home, the appearance of having it all together — while feeling unfulfilled on the inside. Like many people, I kept my emotions hidden, repeated old self-sabotaging patterns, and stayed afraid of showing vulnerability.
Eventually, that way of living led me to burnout, both mentally and physically. It became clear that I could not keep moving through life from a place of emptiness. I needed to return to myself, understand the deeper roots of my experience, and begin building a more honest relationship with who I really am. I also realised that meaningful relationships with others start with the relationship we have with ourselves.
Along the way, I explored many traditional therapies. They brought important shifts, but only for a time. I knew I needed something more profound, something that would support lasting change. That desire inspired me to create The Zen Academy — a space where I bring together everything I have learned, and continue to learn, through coaching and therapy.
My work is rooted in the belief that there is wisdom in our wounds. The challenges we face can reveal our strengths, shape our values, and guide us toward a deeper understanding of ourselves. When we approach these experiences with curiosity and begin a conscious healing journey, we can release the blocks that hold us back and move toward success with greater clarity and alignment.
If you feel behind in life, appear to have the “dream life” yet still feel unhappy, or sense that something emotional is being ignored, I invite you to look more deeply. Reconnecting with yourself, understanding your past, and learning to trust your own truth may be the most valuable investment you ever make.
