Jillian Pransky is an international presenter, mindfulness and yoga teacher, and the author of The Power of the Pause: 90 Seconds to Calm, Reset, and Reconnect. A student of Pema Chödrön’s teachings since 1998, she has taught at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Esalen Institute, Blue Spirit Costa Rica, Omega Institute, national conferences, and in corporate settings. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, O: The Oprah Magazine, Yoga Journal, Prevention, and more.
Drawing on both ancient wisdom and modern science, Jillian blends yoga, restorative movement, mindfulness, and somatic awareness in her teaching. Through her LARLAR™ method, she shares practical tools for bringing mindful pauses and deep listening into daily life—helping reduce stress, release tension, and create new ways to respond with clarity and care.
Committed to making mindfulness accessible, Jillian invites students to slow down, reconnect, and nurture spaciousness, presence, and compassionate connection with themselves and the world around them. She is also the author of Deep Listening: A Healing Practice to Calm Your Body, Clear Your Mind, and Open Your Heart, now in its third printing.
Equally central to her approach is the sense of community she fosters—creating spaces that feel welcoming, supportive, and deeply human. Students often describe Jillian’s work as grounding, gently transformative, and both spacious and practical, with tools that are immediately felt in the body and naturally carried into everyday life.
