Raised in the humanistic values of the Netherlands, Janneke developed a deep and sensitive inner world from an early age. Her personal healing journey began when she was 21, alongside a growing interest in spirituality, and later led her into social work. In that role, she supported homeless people, addicts, and sex workers, gaining meaningful insight into human vulnerability, resilience, and the many layers of lived experience. Highly intuitive and emotionally sensitive, she was drawn once again into her own healing path at the age of 28.
More than a decade ago, Janneke’s inner exploration brought her to Peru, where she encountered Mother Ayahuasca and was invited into a deeper process of healing and growth. This experience opened her awareness to the wisdom of master plants, the importance of nature, and the value of traditional knowledge.
That intuitive calling eventually returned her to Peru and to a more profound relationship with Ayahuasca within an established retreat center. There she continued learning how to hold human vulnerability while staying grounded in the sensitivity needed for intuitive development. Over time, healing and spiritual strength became the foundation of her dedication to supporting others, and the spirit of Willkamayu Spirit reflects the courage and determination she brings to the project each day.
Now a mother, Janneke contributes to the project in a therapeutic way, offering Inner Child work, intuitive coaching, Reiki, preparation, and integration. She remains deeply grateful to the people and spirits who have accompanied and guided her on this path.
As a Chakaruna, she connects the seen and unseen worlds, bridging the Eagle and Condor through her life experience of growing up in the West and living for more than a decade in Peru.
Janneke Killanka is, together with Jhon, the founder of Willkamayu Spirit.
