At 42, Jan is the founder of Feather Crown and works as a facilitator and translator with a deep commitment to sacred plant traditions. In 2008, he made the life-changing decision to settle permanently in the Amazon rainforest, where he trained with elders from the Kichwa, Shipibo, and Yawanawá tribes. His learning continues in close connection with his teachers, shaping the way he holds space with respect and care.
Jan created his own center in a stunning part of the Ecuadorian Amazon highlands, set beside a clear mountain river where he lives. During retreats, he oversees the full experience to support safety, comfort, and the greatest possible benefit for participants. He also guides guests through the medicinal plant garden, sharing insight into the plants and their traditional uses. In ceremonies led by elders, Jan assists throughout the process, and when needed, he is available for personal consultations as well.
