Since 2018, James Sylvester has been an active part of the Naramata Centre community, bringing a grounded, creative presence to the spaces he enters. Based in Calgary, he works as an elementary music teacher, sharing his love of music with young learners in a way that is both engaging and inspiring.
When he is not in the classroom, James can often be found immersed in the local music scene. He enjoys joining jazz jams, performing at talent shows with friends, and playing at his church on the first Sunday of each month. His musical life reflects a warm balance of community, collaboration, and joyful expression.
James brings that same spirit to every setting he is part of, offering a thoughtful and approachable presence shaped by years of teaching and making music with others.
