iris paradela hunter

Description

Program Leader, iris paradela-hunter is a licensed Willow EOL Educator® who brings warmth, clarity, and a deeply human approach to conversations around life’s most meaningful transitions. She creates kind, no-pressure spaces where people can openly explore love, death, grief, and legacy without having to lower their voices or hold back. Her work is rooted in both study and lived experience: she completed her End-of-Life studies at SFU and later trained as an End-of-Life Doula at Douglas College.

With a style that is compassionate, approachable, and gently grounded in honesty, iris invites participants to engage with difficult topics in a way that feels supportive rather than heavy. At 50, she even organized her own Living Wake—partly to ensure the playlist and slideshow were just right, and partly to be there for the compliments. Her presence helps create an atmosphere where reflection, connection, and meaningful conversation can unfold with ease.
