
With a background as a professional dancer, Iara Groothuis has experienced firsthand how Pilates can support the body through injury and recovery. That journey shaped her deep respect for mindful, intelligent movement and inspired her to expand her teaching practice beyond dance. Alongside her work as a dance teacher, she trained as a Pilates instructor, bringing together technical knowledge, creativity, and a genuine love of guiding others.
Her classes are known for their flowing, dynamic quality, often influenced by her passion for music. At the same time, they remain precise and carefully structured, with a strong focus on alignment, control, and detail. Iara supports each participant in working toward personal goals while becoming more aware of habitual movement patterns and imbalances.
