Hannah Bell completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in the summer of 2018 at Mount Madonna Center in Watsonville, California. Drawing on an extensive background in the culinary arts, she brings a deep understanding of what it means to serve. Her classes may be physically and mentally challenging, yet they are always balanced with a sense of lightness and humor. Inspired by her teacher, Baba Hari Dass, and the idea that “work is play,” Hannah’s personal mantra is to be silly, honest, and kind.
In her sessions, she encourages students to lean into the full human experience, with all its beauty and complexity. For Hannah, yoga can be many things: a stretch, a breath, an hour away from your phone, or something much deeper. She meets each student where they are, offering mindfulness and a sincere intention to serve. To her, the true practice continues beyond the mat and into everyday life.
