Guðný Lára brings together a rich and varied background shaped by music, creativity, and healing arts. A lifelong musician and music teacher, she is also a jewelry artist and painter, and she is currently studying Chinese medicine. Her work is informed by a deep curiosity about the connection between art, nature, and wellbeing.
In addition to her creative practice, Guðný is a Reiki healer and a certified Gong session player. She has also spent many years working as a theater director and actress, bringing a strong sense of presence, expression, and sensitivity to everything she does.
Having grown up in Grímsnes, the retreat area itself, Guðný knows the landscape intimately. She is familiar with the surrounding mountains, including Búrfell, Ingólfsfjall, Hestjfall, and Mosfell, and draws on her close relationship with the area’s natural energy.
Her approach is rooted in the power of Icelandic nature and the use of natural herbs for healing, offering a grounded and intuitive perspective shaped by both tradition and lived experience.
