About Grace Osborne

Grace Osborne is a musician and sound performance artist originally from Pasadena, California, and now based in New York City. Her creative practice explores the immersive possibilities of sound through soundwalks, sound baths, and sound installations, inviting listeners into thoughtful, spacious experiences that blur the line between art and atmosphere. With a BA in Music Theory & History from Mills College and a PhD in Ethnomusicology from New York University, she brings both artistic sensitivity and deep scholarly insight to her work.

Most recently, Grace created the sound design for poet Khaty Xiong’s installation Grief Garden, currently on view at the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU. Her work reflects a strong connection to place, memory, and listening, offering audiences an experience that is both meditative and emotionally resonant.
