Georgia is an accomplished Iyengar Yoga teacher with more than 25 years of practice. She has taught in Australia, England, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Brazil, and now lives in Portugal. She holds Junior Intermediate Level 3 and has trained with senior Iyengar teachers around the world, including extended study in Pune with B. K. S. Iyengar, his daughter Geeta, and his son Prashant.
She recognises yoga as a powerful path to healing. Her teaching places a strong emphasis on restorative and remedial work, always adapting to the individual needs of each student. Her approach is clear, calm, and quietly supportive, with alignment at the centre of every class.
At Ulpotha, the mornings are active and precise. You will move safely into postures, discover how alignment creates freedom, and leave feeling energised rather than depleted. In the evenings, the focus shifts to restoration and individual support, with space to address personal concerns. Pranayama is included throughout the week.
Georgia believes the depth of yoga grows from a steady mind and honest self-observation. She brings warmth and humour to her teaching, and works with both beginners and general level students. She is also a mother of three and continued her practice throughout each pregnancy.
