Gemma is a much-valued nurse on the Tabula Rasa Retreat team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995 and is a Philippine Registered Nurse, with experience across a wide range of nursing settings. Her career began as a volunteer nurse at a community hospital in her hometown, where she shared health education and supported well-being. She later moved to the city, managing an Out Patient Medical Specialist Clinic, coordinating appointments and follow-up checks, and liaising with doctors.
In 2002, Gemma was selected by the Philippine government to join King Fahad Medical City in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, working in the Paediatric Surgical Unit and closely monitoring vital signs. In 2011, she accepted a private nursing role in Luanda, Angola. That opportunity eventually led her to Portugal, where she has lived ever since. Gemma is dedicated to providing high-quality nursing care, and we are delighted to have her with us.
