
With three decades of experience in leadership and operations, this teacher brings a rare blend of public service, organizational insight, and mindfulness-based practice to the work of workplace culture change. His background spans a wide range of management roles across the United States, including service as a US Naval Flight Officer, US Forest Service leader, NOAA Operations Chief, and, most recently, founder, teacher, and manager of Mindful FED.
He has also trained safety and corrections professionals in mindfulness-based wellness and resilience through the Center for Mindfulness in Public Safety, supporting teams in both the US and Canada. As an adjunct faculty member at the Federal Executive Institute, he worked with senior federal executives on personal and organizational mindfulness practices designed to strengthen leadership and improve workplace culture.
He holds an undergraduate degree from the US Naval Academy and a master’s degree from the University of Hawaii. Outside of his professional work, he and his partner Julie are the parents of three daughters.
