
Frank is a Dehcho Dene Residential School Survivor and speaks his traditional language, Dene Zhatie, fluently. Since the beginning of the Aboriginal Healing Foundation, he has supported communities as a Community Support Worker and Regional Liaison for Yukon and the NWT, helping them manage their funded contracts with AHF.
He later served as a Residential School Specialist, leading psycho-educational trauma recovery healing programs in both urban and remote communities across the NWT. Frank also represented the NWT and Yukon in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission process.
More recently, he has worked with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls initiatives at national events and as a statement gatherer for families who have lost loved ones. His background also includes six years as a probation officer, more than 15 years as a trained and certified drug and alcohol counsellor, and 12 years as a lead Suicide Assist Trainer in the NWT. He is also a certified Life Coach and facilitator.
Frank and Bev have recently been recognized by Health Canada in the NWT as Traditional Healers.
