About Evelyn
Evelyn is recognized as one of the world’s most in-demand Zouk artists, dance instructors, and choreographers.
Her path began in childhood in Romania, in the Transylvania region, where many gifted young performers developed strength, discipline, and body awareness through rhythmic gymnastics. That foundation was further shaped during her school years, when she explored street dance, performed in dance teams, and created a variety of choreographies. At the same time, while working professionally as a dental technician, Evelyn expanded her range by studying Salsa and teaching Zumba, Modern Dance, Ballroom, and Flamenco.
In 2006, she discovered her true calling: Brazilian Zouk. From that moment, the dance became her lifelong passion. As her professional career grew, and while studying and working abroad, Evelyn performed and taught in more than 30 countries around the world. She also shared the stage with many respected Zouk leaders, including Pasty, Adilio Porto, Mafie Zouker, and Xandy Liberato, among others, at international congresses. During this period, she also added Contemporary dance to her artistic foundation.
For Evelyn, Zouk means “surrendering in the moment with a balanced mental and physical state, combining creativity through inner-beauty, while existing in harmony with the music”.
Her approach is distinctive: a refined art of movement that expresses and interprets music with grace and fluidity. Through her work, she continues to inspire dancers worldwide to dance from the heart.
Today, Evelyn continues to share her passion for dance, with gratitude and joy, alongside her beloved husband Derrick.
