
Zen practice, yoga, and mindful living come together in Erin Merk’s teaching. Ordained as a Zen priest in 2005 by Eijun Linda Cutts, she later served as Shuso, or Head Student, at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center in 2012. Her path reflects both depth of practice and a lifelong commitment to learning.
Since 2006, Erin has been a faculty member at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco, where she teaches yoga, mindfulness, and health to teens through the Body-Mind Education department. Her background also includes the Advanced Studies Program at Yoga Room Berkeley, the Relax and Renew™ restorative yoga certification with Judith Hanson Lasater, and Level 2 of the Heavenly Essence Qigong™ Immersion Program with Dr. Liping Zhu. Most recently, she became a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
With experience spanning Zen, yoga, qigong, and nutrition, Erin offers a grounded and well-rounded approach that supports balance, awareness, and well-being.
