Hello and welcome to Do Yoga and my community yoga classes in Weston-super-Mare! I began practicing yoga at a very young age, joining my mum before I started school. Through the years, I returned to it on and off during college, established a daily practice in my twenties, and eventually trained as a yoga teacher in 2002. That means I have now been practicing yoga for 56 years and teaching for 24 years. I am a Senior Yoga Teacher and registered with Yoga Alliance UK.
Over time, I have explored a range of yoga and meditation styles, including Ashtanga and Anusara Yoga. Even after many years of teaching, I continue to study, as this is truly a lifelong journey. Since 2002, I have offered both private yoga sessions and regular weekly yoga groups, working with people of many ages and abilities. The youngest participant I have taught was in a baby yoga class, while the oldest joined a chair yoga class at the remarkable age of 102.
I am also qualified to teach and mentor other yoga teachers. If that is relevant to you, my workshops can provide CPD points from Yoga Alliance UK. I have completed yoga therapy training, which may be especially helpful for those recovering from injury or illness. As a compassionate, friendly, and patient teacher, I am committed to offering high-quality yoga sessions that support personal wellbeing and help build a resilient community.
