Ellen Rose serves as Director of Kripalu Programming, where she weaves earth-based spirituality, ancestral practices, and spirit work to deepen connection, empowerment, and embodied wisdom in community.
She was a residential volunteer at Kripalu from 2008 to 2009 and has since contributed in a variety of roles across the organization. A graduate of Kripalu’s 500-hour Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training, she honors the distinctive spark of this lineage and brings its teachings into her work and daily life.
Ellen teaches in the R&R program, Kripalu Signature Programs, and the Kripalu School of Ayurveda. Alongside her yoga and Ayurveda training, her classes are shaped by an animist worldview grounded in ancestral ways of being, with influences from Nordic magic traditions and the Celtic Wheel of the Year. Through work with human and spirit guides, she offers contemporary rituals and ceremony that create an embodied experience of our natural interconnectedness with all beings. Her combination of reverence and humor helps participants arrive exactly as they are.
She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Vermont, with a focus on Colonialism and Genocide. In addition to teaching, she is a mother, devotee of intimacy, multi-medium artist, and apprentice to the spirits.
