In early May 2020, “Let’s Ask Spirit” first began resonating with viewers. After leaving the makeup industry during the global pandemic, Effie Kalaitzidis started sharing her gift for intuitive tarot readings with people seeking clarity in uncertain times. By June, her videos had reached 2.2M views and she had built a devoted following on TikTok, which led to private one-on-one sessions. Three years and a poetry book later, Effie began developing community programming in Chicago at venues including the Waldorf Astoria Spa, Equinox, and more. These rituals invite guests to connect with their own intuitive gifts, find inspiration, explore the current astrology, and receive insights through in-person tarot readings. To complement this work, Effie creates the esoteric wellness gazette TRY AGAIN L8R, featuring play, horoscopes, and commissions from local female artists, shared at her events.
