Edit Schlaffer, PhD, is a social scientist, author, and activist whose work centers on the powerful role women play in shaping a safer, more stable world. In 2002, she founded Women without Borders, an Austrian-based international nonprofit dedicated to advancing women’s voices in global change. Her research explores women in international politics, women as agents of transformation, and the impact of female leadership in times of uncertainty.
In 2008, she introduced SAVE (Sisters Against Violent Extremism), the first global women’s counter-terrorism platform, expanding her advocacy into urgent conversations around peace and prevention.
