
Drubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche serves as the abbot of Chökyi Gyatso Institute (CGI) in eastern Bhutan, where he continues a living lineage of practice, study, and spiritual leadership. Born in Nepal in 1983, he was recognized by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche as the incarnation of Lama Sonam Zangpo, the maternal grandfather of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. Lama Sonam Zangpo was a revered Bhutanese yogi and the founder of CGI, and Rinpoche’s role carries this important legacy forward.
