
Dr. Vasant Lad (BAM&S, MASc) is the founder and Director of The Ayurvedic Institute. He is widely respected by peers and friends, including Deepak Chopra and Sadguru, for helping spark the renewed interest in Ayurveda, both in the West and in his native India.
Arriving in the United States to teach Ayurveda in 1982, he established The Ayurvedic Institute in 1984, well before the yoga and wellness boom. His influence has helped shape Ayurveda’s modern resurgence across cultures and continents.
