
Dr. Kevin Chen is an associate professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and president of the World Institute for Self-Healing, Inc. With Chinese roots and a lifelong commitment to Qigong meditation, he is among the few scientists in the United States who combines deep personal practice with active research in Qigong and meditation. His work bridges traditional wisdom and modern science, offering a thoughtful perspective on self-healing and holistic well-being.
Dr. Chen also serves as associate editor-in-chief of the English edition of Chinese Medical Qigong (2010) and is the publisher of Yang-Sheng, a magazine dedicated to supporting the body, mind, and spirit. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience using Qigong to support health and healing for people facing cancer, and has led intensive Qigong training for cancer patients for many years.
