Dr. Jonathan Wright serves as Medical Director of Tahoma Clinic, where he also sees patients. A graduate of Harvard University (A.B. 1965) and the University of Michigan (M.D. 1969), he has long been recognized as a pioneer in the research and clinical use of natural approaches to healthy aging and illness.
Since 1976, together with Alan Gaby, M.D., he has built a reference file of more than 50,000 research papers on diet, vitamins, minerals, botanicals, and other natural substances, forming the basis for non-patent, non-drug treatments for a wide range of health concerns. Since 1983, Dr. Wright has taught natural biochemical medical treatments to thousands of physicians across the USA, Europe, and Japan.
He was the first to develop and introduce comprehensive bio-identical hormone protocols, including estrogens, progesterone, DHEA, and testosterone, in 1982, and later helped direct laboratory testing to support their safe use. He continues to teach the use and monitoring of bio-identical hormones at several seminars each year.
Dr. Wright also developed natural treatments for childhood asthma, helped create approaches that stop vision loss or improve vision in many people with dry macular degeneration, and was the first to use aldosterone to reverse age-related hearing loss.
