Dr Jake Hawthorn is an addiction psychiatrist working in harm reduction within the NHS, with a strong interest in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. He hopes that psychedelic-assisted therapy will one day become available to support people living with addiction, and his work reflects a thoughtful, evidence-informed approach to this emerging field.
He has facilitated psychedelic group retreats in the Netherlands and has helped deliver the PHP' Network's in-house facilitator training over the past two and a half years. Alongside his clinical and facilitation experience, Jake is currently completing a master's degree in sociology, focusing on Contemporary Drug and Alcohol Studies.
Outside of his professional work, he enjoys staying active through running, stretching, lifting, football, and basketball. Jake has also completed a Professional Certificate in Psychedelic Practice, a comprehensive theoretical and practical program dedicated to psychedelic work.
