
Dr. Eve Ekman is a contemplative social scientist, meditation teacher, and consultant whose work centers on emotional awareness, compassion, and resilience. Her approach blends research, lived practice, and practical tools that support greater balance in everyday life.
She co-created the Atlas of Emotions with Paul Ekman, in collaboration with the Dalai Lama, and later served as Wellbeing Lead on Apple’s Health team. In that role, she helped shape and launch the company’s first wellbeing products, including Fitness+ Meditations, State of Mind emotion tracking, Journal, Mindfulness for Vision Pro, and the Breathe app for Apple Watch.
Dr. Ekman completed her doctoral work at UC Berkeley and postdoctoral research at UCSF’s Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, where she developed evidence-based tools for emotional balance. Her teaching and consulting invite participants to deepen mindfulness, strengthen self-understanding, and cultivate more grounded wellbeing.
