
Dr Donca Vianu is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist with more than 40 years of experience across different countries and cultural settings, including 30 years in the Netherlands. During her career there, she has worked both within governmental mental health institutions and in private practice, bringing a broad and deeply informed perspective to her work.
Her therapeutic approach integrates a range of methodologies, with particular focus on hypnotherapy for complex PTSD and the intergenerational transmission of trauma. She also works with cognitive behavioural therapy, as well as concerns related to gender, relationships, and the transcultural dimensions of mental health. In addition, she draws on expanded states of consciousness through Focusing, hypnotherapy, and Active Imagination, creating a thoughtful and nuanced space for healing and self-understanding.
