
Dr. Cheng, XiaoMing, LAC, is a senior Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with deep expertise in acupuncture and TCM. He began his teaching career in 1980 as Director of the Acupuncture Department at Zhejiang University of TCM. Since 1991, he has taught TCM, acupuncture, and Eastern philosophy at the New England School of Acupuncture, and he is also part of the teaching team for the acupuncture course for physicians through Harvard Medical School’s Department of Continuing Medical Education.
He earned his OMD degree from Shanghai University of TCM and holds acupuncture licensure and certification from NCCAOM and the Massachusetts COA. Dr. Cheng is a Guest Professor at Shanghai University of TCM and Hua Shan Hospital of Shanghai Medical University. Since 1992, he has maintained a private TCM and acupuncture practice in Brookline, Massachusetts.
He has published three major clinical texts in Chinese: Acupuncture for Emergencies, Scalp Acupuncture, and Acupuncture Pathology & Point Prescriptions. He has also published his first English book on acupuncture and moxibustion, designed as a practical desk reference for acupuncturists.
