Don Enrique

Don Enrique comes from the RoaBoya community near Pucallpa and now lives in Iquitos, where he leads the Ayahuasca Foundation’s eight-week initiation courses. Born into a long line of curanderos, he began training at just 11 years old under his grandfather’s guidance. With more than 40 years of experience, he continues to study, follow plant dietas, and strengthen his relationship with medicinal plants and their spirits.

He devotes much of his life to Kesten Rono, his plant medicine school, which has become a second home for him and his family. There, he is always planting new medicinal species, improving the school, and healing and teaching visitors from around the world. His commitment to sharing knowledge is remarkable, and his dedication to expanding his understanding of plant medicine and its healing potential is truly inspiring.
