Diomar serves as the Mayor of Santa Rosa de Dinamarca and is also the Chairman of the Shipibo Ayahuasca and Shamanism Foundation. In addition, he works as the Lead Preeminent Shaman, overseeing each Ayahuasca ceremony to ensure it follows the highest standards and remains true to authentic Shipibo tradition. After completing his initiation and apprenticeship in traditional medicine, he was officially recognized as a Shipibo Shaman in 2001.
With more than twenty years of experience, he has used Shipibo traditional medicine to support healing for many people. In Shipibo culture, a shaman’s reputation is often understood through the strength and purity of their rama, or spiritual lineage. Diomar’s rama is regarded as especially strong and unbroken, shaped by generations of curanderos and strengthened through years of dedicated practice. Elders, fellow practitioners, and younger healers speak of him with deep respect, honoring his humility, integrity, and the depth of his healing work.
He is recognized not only for the effectiveness of his ceremonies, but also for the gentleness and clarity he brings to every encounter. This presence helps those who work with him feel safe, seen, and fully supported throughout their healing journey. A lifelong student of medicine, Diomar continues to deepen his relationship with Ayahuasca, Pinon Blanco, and more than fifty other plant species with which he works.
Today, he guides both local and international seekers toward healing, spiritual growth, and a renewed connection with the natural world. Through his path, he carries the living wisdom of the Shipibo people, bridging ancient tradition and modern need with deep reverence for the sacred.
