Dimitris discovered his first yoga class unexpectedly in 2008, and in 2015 he completed his first 200-hour training. What began as a response to the pressure of everyday life and many years of work as a chef gradually became both a personal refuge and a path of inner exploration.
He has completed the following teacher training programs:
He has also joined many seminars in yoga, meditation, psychology, and nutrition. A certified yoga teacher by Yoga Alliance International, he is also the founder of the Yamas Food Project, through which he organizes seminars on mindful eating and cooking at various yoga retreats.
One of the most important milestones in his journey was completing his first ten-day Vipassana meditation course, an experience that transformed his life.
Dimitris lives in Chania, Crete, where he has worked with some of the city’s largest gyms. His key collaborations include Yoga in Crete and later Yoga First Studio Chania, where he served as co-owner of the studio and as instructor for the Train Your Mind educational program in partnership with Yoga First Academy.
Guided by a desire for growth and a deep love of yoga, he founded Re-Treat Yoga Studio in Chania, creating a space where people can learn to connect with themselves, understand their needs, and care for themselves with the love they deserve.
Since 2015, he has been leading yoga classes, seminars, and retreats across Greece and abroad, working with hotels and retreat centers to support alternative tourism in Crete.
