Dimitri is certified to teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, and Calligraphy Yoga, and has completed several Yoga Teacher Trainings. His studies include trainings and workshops with the internationally respected teachers AG Mohan and Indra Mohan of Chennai, both students of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, widely regarded as the father of modern yoga. He has also deepened his yoga education through philosophy with AG Mohan and Emil Wendel, as well as anatomy with Simon Borg-Olivier. Calligraphy Yoga, a graceful and gentle blend of Indian and Chinese traditions, combines yoga and qigong to cultivate inner strength, support Qi flow, and encourage healthy circulation in the blood, digestive system, and mind. These influences shape his teaching style, which brings together dynamic conscious movement and meditative relaxation, inspiring both new and experienced students.
As a Certified Sound Therapist, Dimitri considers sound one of the most powerful healing modalities. He has trained with leading figures in sound healing through more than a dozen trainings, and is known for his private treatments and deeply immersive Sound Baths. Having worked with over 1000 people, he offers sessions in the Nada Healing Room at Island Yoga, Koh Yao Noi. His work often centers on singing bowls placed on and around the body, as well as tuning forks applied to meridian points. He is also certified in Cranio Sacral Therapy, Reiki, and Pranic Healing through founding Master Choa Kok Sui, also known as External Medical Qigong, and incorporates chromotherapy and crystals. In addition, he works with EFT and conscious breath, and has explored vocal toning with one of the world’s leading sound healers, Jonathan Goldman.
"Everything in the universe originated from sound and therefore is vibration. To reach supreme consciousness you need a medium of sound such as chanting, mantra, vibration or music. Sound nourishes and heals the body and mind"
Dimitri has continued to expand his healing path through the Foundation For Shamanic Studies (FSS), founded by Michael Harner, under the guidance of Kevin Turner. He has been initiated into Native American and Indonesian rituals, and this experience has inspired him to weave these influences into yoga, where he often tunes in to support students with greater precision and sensitivity.
He has developed his work as Integrative Vibrational Therapy. Working intuitively and on a personal basis, he supports each client in the most appropriate way. When suitable, he combines sound and energetic practices within a single session, creating a deeper experience and a stronger sense of transformation.
Since the mid-1990s, Dimitri has travelled to more than 65 countries, spending extended periods abroad. He saw this as a form of world pilgrimage, a way to better understand religions, cultures, values, and belief systems around the globe. This journey ultimately led him to the study and practice of yoga, meditation, and sacred sound for deep healing. He has attended numerous silent meditation retreats in Yogic and Buddhist traditions and continues to follow the teachings of J. Krishnamurti and Ramana Maharshi.
