Born in Russia, Dima spent 22 years in Israel before relocating to Peru in 2012. His move was inspired by a deep interest in plant medicine, especially Ayahuasca, and by a wish to better understand the nature of the Self. For two decades, he had explored this question through contemplation of Eastern non-duality philosophies and his yoga practice.
“When I sat in ceremonies with Ayahuasca, I found that difficult emotions, repetitive irrational thoughts, and challenging memories were intensified by the medicine. I could no longer look away. This gave me the chance to stay with these experiences, accept them, and release them. I am grateful for that gift. Every morning after a ceremony, I feel lighter and closer to my true self.”
Dima co-owns La Medicina and feels fortunate to live surrounded by nature, engage in meaningful conversations with fascinating people from around the world, and witness the plants doing their healing work.
