Diana Miller (She/Her/Hers) first discovered her passion for birds of prey in August 1985, when she met Buddy the Great Horned Owl after arriving at the Greenway & Nature Center of Pueblo, now the Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center, for an internship in environmental education. That moment launched a more than 30-year career devoted to high-quality wildlife rehabilitation, with a special focus on raptors. As Raptor Center Director, Diana is equally committed to teaching the public about native raptors and sharing broader wildlife education. For her, the most meaningful moments are seeing an animal return home, watching children light up when they meet a raptor ambassador in the classroom, and connecting with others who share her love of the wild. Outside of work, Diana enjoys spending time with her pawkids, sewing, and wildlife watching.
