My yoga path began about eight years ago, when my sister first introduced me to the practice. At first, I resisted it, partly because I was navigating a complicated relationship with my cultural roots. Only years later did I understand that my resistance was not really to yoga itself, but to the stillness it asked me to meet. Those quiet moments on the mat brought forward parts of myself I had long avoided. As I studied different Hatha yoga lineages, including Iyengar and Ashtanga, I came to see that yoga offers far more than physical movement. It is a deeply spiritual practice that supports strength, flexibility, emotional balance, mental clarity, and a deeper connection to self.
My sessions begin with a short pranayama meditation to help ground and centre. From there, we move into a breath-led asana practice that encourages mindful movement and connection with the body, before closing with a deeply restful savasana. The intention is to give you space to absorb the benefits of the practice and leave feeling refreshed and balanced.
