About Deborah Kern

Deborah Kern is a health scientist who encourages people to live in alignment with the wisdom of the body. Her perspective was shaped by pioneering research that found mind-body integrated exercise approaches to be more effective in reducing anxiety than conventional exercise methods. That discovery inspired Deb to explore the field more deeply.

Formerly the Executive Director of Lifestyle Enrichment at the renowned Lake Austin Spa Resort, Deb is an internationally recognized speaker on mind, body, and spirit health. She is the author of Everyday Wellness for Women and co-author of Create the Body Your Soul Desires: The Friendship Solution to Weight, Energy and Sexuality.

With experience as a nurse, health educator, personal trainer, yoga and Nia teacher, and yoga therapist, she brings practical lifestyle wisdom that goes beyond books. Her work reflects a deep understanding that when people disconnect from their body’s signals, they may miss opportunities for healing emotional issues and are more likely to experience stress and dis-ease. When they begin to listen and respond, remarkable changes can happen.
