
Debashish Banerji, Ph.D., holds the Haridas Chaudhuri Professorship of Indian Philosophies and Cultures, as well as the Doshi Professorship of Asian Art, at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco. His work bridges philosophy, culture, and art, offering a rich perspective shaped by both academic depth and cross-cultural understanding.
From 1991 to 2006, he served as President of the East-West Cultural Center in Los Angeles, where he helped guide an institution dedicated to dialogue between Eastern and Western traditions. Through his teaching and leadership, he brings thoughtful insight into Indian philosophical traditions and their relevance in contemporary life.
