With more than 40 years of teaching Yoga philosophy around the world, David has also led retreats for Assisi Retreats since 2014. Raised as the eldest of 13 children in a large Catholic family, he was initiated and trained at the age of 20 by Swami Muktananda, later becoming one of his teachers. He served as National Coordinator and Spiritual Director for the SYDA Foundation, and went on to found The God Realization Ministry, bringing meditation to more than 200 churches across the United States. Today, he spends six months each year in India leading the Second Education Initiative, which is introducing meditation into India’s school system. More than 30 universities have joined the program. Known for his generous spirit, he invites everyone to find a home in the heart and is deeply inspired by the humility and service of St. Francis.
