About Dave Smith
Dave Smith (he/him) is an internationally recognized Buddhist meditation teacher, addiction treatment specialist, and published author whose work bridges contemplative practice and practical support. Grounded in the Insight Meditation tradition, he was empowered to teach through the Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society and has since shared his experience through residential meditation retreats, classes, trainings, and consulting in both secular and Buddhist settings.
Alongside his teaching, Dave supports students through his meditation mentoring program, offering guidance for those seeking a steadier, more mindful path. He is also the founder of Rebel Saint Dharma and currently lives in Paonia, Colorado, where he continues to contribute to the wider meditation and healing community.
