Born in Canada, Corinne (Coco) began practicing yoga more than 20 years ago, after the birth of her son. Having spent over 16 years practicing and teaching ballet and contemporary dance, she naturally connected with yoga. Very quickly, it became far more than a physical discipline for her, revealing a deep link between body, mind, and soul.
In 2005, Corinne made her first journey to Mysore, India, where she studied and became certified as an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher with V. Sheshadri, B.A. International Yoga Asana Champion, in the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system of T. Krishnamacharia and Shri K. Pattabhi Jois.
Recognized as a teacher in the Riviera Maya in Mexico, Corinne spent years traveling throughout Mexico, South America, Canada, and the United States to share her passion for the practice. In 2015, she chose to deepen her studies and traveled across Asia for more than two years. Along the way, she practiced with well-known teachers Rolf & Marci Naujokat in Goa and Kirsten and Mitchell in Bali. She also had the opportunity to practice with John Scott during a workshop in Purple Valley. A defining moment of her journey came when she finally met her Guru in Pandeshwar, India. Corinne lived for many months with a traditional Brahman family, where she studied and practiced Patanjali’s philosophy at the Gurukula Shala.
Since 2016, Corinne has also been teaching in Thailand and Africa, guiding students in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition and helping them expand and deepen their understanding of the yoga lifestyle. In Mexico, in the Mayan Jungle, she created a permanent Mysore Style Program at her center, One Breath of Yoga. Her center also offers workshops such as Raw Food, temazcals, and Medicinals Ceremonies, supporting people on their path of transformation and self-realization.
