In my yoga classes, I aim to create inner clarity and deep calm. I teach classical Hatha yoga, guiding students from preparatory exercises through flowing vinyasas into longer-held asanas. This approach strengthens and stretches the body while helping the mind settle. A better sense of the body then naturally supports concentration on the breath and meditation.
Each class begins with a relaxing opening phase. From there, I lead thematically matched movement sequences and postures tailored to the needs of the group. There is always enough time at the end for focused breathwork and a final relaxation.
Short or longer meditation practices complete the offering. During a retreat, certain postures are repeated to help participants master them safely. In this way, a personal home practice also takes shape along the way. Fresh inspiration keeps every day in the retreat engaging and varied.
I completed my four-year BDY-recognized training in 1997. Since then, I have remained committed to continuing education and have gained experience in meditation and mindfulness training in the traditions of Ayya Khema and Thich Nhat Hanh.
My practice is strongly inspired by Doris Echlin as well as Lalla and Vilas Turske.
