
Chris has made Costa Rica his home for nearly five years, bringing with him a deep-rooted love of cooking that began in childhood. Some of his earliest and most cherished memories were formed in the kitchen with his grandmothers, where he discovered the joy of preparing meals with care, creativity, and intention. Those formative moments grew into a lifelong passion for nourishing food and thoughtful hospitality.
His professional path began as a sous chef for several retreats, where he refined his approach to cooking for wellness-focused guests. Two years ago, he joined the Chirripo Nourishments team, where he continues to design menus with attention to individual dietary needs and personal preferences. Working with the freshest organic ingredients, Chris creates meals that feel both wholesome and memorable. For him, cooking is not only about flavor and nutrition, but also about offering a warm, personalized experience that supports each guest’s time in retreat.
