Charles Pearson

Charles Pearson

Description

Based in Edinburgh, Charles teaches at Tribe, Hot Pod Edinburgh, and Tidal Yoga, while also leading regular online classes, private one-to-one sessions, and destination retreats. He began his yoga journey at 50, developing a consistent practice seven years before qualifying as a teacher in 2019 with a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK) training at Red Hot Yoga in Guildford, Surrey.

Since then, he has taught steadily both in studios and online, often leading 10–12 classes each week. In 2023, he added another 200-hour qualification through Yoga Alliance (US) with Leslie Glickman at Yoga Journey in Boca Raton, Florida, with a focus on Yin and Vinyasa yoga. He also holds additional 40-hour certificates in Yoga Nidra and Yin.

Charles teaches a wide range of styles, including hot, power, flow, vinyasa, slow flow, gentle flow, foundation, yin, and restorative, across mostly all-level classes. He is known for his attention to alignment, precise cueing, and a teaching style that challenges students while offering warmth, support, and a sense of humour.
