
With a lifelong commitment to Buddhist practice, Carole has studied since 2007 under Nyingmapa teachers in Bhutan and Sakayapa teachers in Australia. Her path has been shaped in particular by Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe, whose depth of knowledge, authenticity, and compassion she deeply values.
Bringing together contemplative insight and academic rigor, Carole serves as the program convener for the Autumn Buddhist Philosophy Course. She is also an emeritus professor with a doctorate in psychology and previously held the role of deputy vice-chancellor at an Australian university.
Her background offers a thoughtful balance of scholarship, lived practice, and leadership, creating a grounded and inspiring perspective for those engaging with Buddhist philosophy.
