Bonnie’s path into yoga began in 2004, after a friend invited her to a first class. What began as simple curiosity gradually unfolded into a lifelong journey of self-discovery and healing. Over the years, she has explored Hatha, yin, vinyasa, aerial yoga, and various pranayama practices. This steady practice deepened her body awareness and helped her cultivate not only strength and flexibility, but also emotional balance and inner calm. Yoga and meditation supported her through emotional challenges and physical discomfort, including chronic lower back issues.
In 2016, Bonnie completed a Master’s degree in Psychology, broadening her understanding of the mind-body connection and inspiring her to explore a wide range of mindfulness-based practices through the lens of neuroscience. This background strengthened her appreciation for holistic well-being and her desire to support others on their own journeys of healing and self-discovery. In 2024, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Westcoast Hot Yoga and facilitator training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Centre of Mindfulness Studies.
Since early 2025, Bonnie has been leading yoga and meditation classes, offering nurturing and supportive spaces where others can reconnect with themselves and grow with confidence. Her love of music also shapes her teaching. Raised singing and playing piano and harp, she often incorporates sound healing into her sessions. Depending on the experience, this may include crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, ocean drum, and voice, creating an immersive and restorative atmosphere.
In her free time, Bonnie enjoys nature, lifelong learning, and facilitating workshops and retreats locally and internationally, continually deepening her practice and sharing her gifts with others.
